Installation – Toilet Tank to Toilet Gasket GP51487

This video will show you how to install the toilet tank gasket (GP51487) to toilet on KOHLER two-piece toilets.

Awhile back CarNutBill offered up a light for free. I could not resist and it is now over the work bench.

Bill was wondering where the video was, so …. Here it is.  In this video, I receive a light from a good friend and install it over the work bench.

It has been hanging around for a while waiting its turn to be edited. Bill asked where it was so … here it is.
This was an operating room light and really makes a great work light.

This video demonstrates refinishing and old hand Water Pump.  A neighbor asked me to refinish his ornamental hand Water pump lawn art.

I took it completely apart and refinished all the parts.

This is a pump that is capable of pumping water.

This video demonstrates how to make your own Leveling Feet for your tools.  I needed to be able to level my band saw.

The original feet on the base did not support the band saw securely.

I went to the big box store and purchased some large bolts and made some Leveling/Supporting feet for the saw base.

This would work for many different tool bases.

In this short video I walk through the steps I used to put a F style RG-6 connector on the end of a Coaxial RG-6 TV Cable

How To Make Ethernet Cable Connections, differences between CAT 5e and CAT 6

In this video I show how to how to put RJ 45 jacks onto CAT 5e and CAT 6 cables.
I also talk about the differences between the CAT 5e cable and CAT 6 cable.

I have no relationship to Ideal tools.

Making First Tool Board for the Shop. Give this video a chance, I think I made it interesting.

The biggest tip I can pass along is, mark out an area the size of the tool board on a flat surface. Lay out your tools in that area and live with it over a period of time.

This is the first of several Tool Boards that will be made for the shop.

Nice to get these tools organized, finally! Hunting tools down out of bins has been a real pain, and the pain is still not over.

This Tool Board was made from two leftover shelves from the shelf project in the “garage bay”.

The shelves are made from ½ inch plywood with a 2 X 2 frame and gussets.

Predrilling the holes for the nails (6 penny finishing nails) makes them a tight press fit. The nails go in firmly, stay in place, and can be removed if needed.

In this video I go through the steps I use to install Tapcon bolts.

I have found them to be incredibly strong. You do need to use a bolt longer than you would think (in this case I am using a 1 ¾ bolt to hold a 1/8 inch steel flange to the floor).

Free space you did not know you had, basement shelves and lumber storage.

There is a shocking surprise somewhere in this video, if you find it, comment so that I know you found it, but do not give it away to others.

This video is about how to acquire free lumber and storage space.

Magic Garden Fence

One that can be gotten in and out of, without having to dismantle the fence each time you want to have access to the garden.

In this video, I show how I have been making the battery /starter cables for the Front Engine Dragster.

In this How To Video we replace the axle bearings in my 30 year old Ariens ST824 Model 924050 Snow Blower.

There is a parts breakout diagram both at the beginning and end of the video.

Summer is here, time to put this away for a while.

In this “How To video“, I talk about Deutsch Connectors.

I Assemble and Disassemble the, new to me, Deutsch connectors.
I think I like the new Deutsch Connectors better with these exceptions:
1) That everything is smaller, harder for these fat fingers to maneuver the small parts
2) Harder for these old eyes to see the numbers on the backs of the connectors and to thread the wire into the connector.

I do like the positive feeling of the connections and will be making the switch.

In this video, there is an Intro into how to create battery terminal ends.

To do the battery cable ends on the Dragster (and the 49 at some point), I bought an intermediate terminal crimping tool. It failed to hold the crimp and did not have a good enough selection of dies to go one step smaller.

This tool had more dies and a better selection of dies in the range I needed (once I knew what I needed) and was much cheaper, harbor freight cheap.

I debated if I should post this video. I was disappointed in the presentation of this tool. That is not the important part, but it affected my “attitude / mindset” throughout the video and I think it showed through. Also this video was not my best effort.

The important part is how the tool works and I do not have a good answer for that as yet.

In a couple of videos posted by -AN fitting sellers, they assemble these fittings very quickly and with ease. In one, in six minutes they assemble three different styles. It takes longer in the real world.

In this video I show what it really takes to assemble AN Fittings on Braided Hose.

In this video two things are accomplished. 1) a heavily painted heat duct grill is stripped and reconditioned to like new condition, 2) The Powder Coat process is shown and the advantages discussed.

How to build a base for a homemade Anvil.

We purchased someone’s homemade anvil made from a piece of railroad track. We did spend a bit of time cleaning up the surface so that it was straight and true.

It is kind of hard to hammer on it on the floor although it could be done. We had this old log from a fallen tree after a wind storm last March.
